Waterville area natives Jesse Labreck and Jon Alexis Jr. have advanced to American Ninja Warrior's national finals in Las Vegas after successful course runs in the Philadelphia city finals.

Former University of Maine and Messalonskee High School star athlete, Jesse Labreck, saw her friend, Jon Alexis Jr. from Waterville, compete on the reality TV show, ‘American Ninja Warrior,’ and decided to try for herself.

Jonathan Alexis, 48, and his son, also named Jonathan Alexis, 26, from Waterville, are competitors on the new season of 'American Ninja Warrior.' The reality show airs on NBC, locally on channels 2 and 6. The younger Jonathan made history (June 22) last night.
