Who knew the Augusta Police had a museum? They do! Albeit small, it is a collection of history from throughout the department's history, going as far back as the 1800s.
The Augusta Police Department is looking for your help following an assault at the Stone Street Big Apple this past (Jan. 7) Wednesday. Do you recognize the male suspect?
Augusta Police Chief, Bob Gregoire, along with his wife, Cathy and Augusta Police Sargent Chris Shaw, were using their day off to help raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. That afternoon, on the way back to Turner, where riders were to gather, the two officers' motorcycles crashed in Jay. Shaw was alone and Gregoire was riding with his wife.
UPDATE: Augusta police have taken Ryan McLaughlin, 26 of Dreseden, into custody and is being held on federal charges related to the robberies of a pharmacy at an Augusta Shaw's on Monday (Nov. 11) and Tuesday (Nov. 12.)
