With the 6th annual Redneck Olympics coming up later this month in Hebron, Maine, we decided to look back at a story from last summer that lists the top ten most redneck towns in Maine.
One of my go to websites for story ideas is Roadsnacks.net and sometimes they can kind of be a little out there with their subject matter, this is one of those times. They complied their list of the '10 Kinkiest Cities In Maine'.

The July 4th holiday is less than a week away and WalletHub.com recently posting their finding of the '2016's Most Patriotic States'. To get their findings they used 12 key metrics, including the number of residents enlisted in the military, veterans per capita , 2012 Presidential voting percentage and highest volunteer rate.
File this under believe it or not, the fair season in Maine starts this weekend and goes until October and the Fryeburg Fair. The fair season starts with the Maple Meadow Fair Festival in Mapleton, Maine this Friday and Saturday.
WalletHub.com researched how happy each state is in the country. Their study used 25 metrics ranging from emotional health to income levels to sports participation rates.
Money Rates.com had an article that caught my eye, it was titled 'Top 10 Best and Worst States To Be Rich'. Being rich in this article was deemed as earning $90,060 per year, that would put you into the top ten percent of wage earners in the country. In forming their list, they factored top-tier income levels, tax rates and property crime.
The summer vacation season starts in nine days, but who's counting? Maine is Vacationland and it seems like the word is out. The website Thrillist.com has complied their list of the 'Best Vacation Spots in the US for Relaxing'. One Maine location made the list.
