Authorities say they believe speed to be a contributing factor to the accident but are still investigating the crash.

Authorities are searching for the person and vehicle involved in an apparent overnight hit and run on route 220 in Liberty.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office received a domestic disturbance call from a home on the Morse Road in Knox on Saturday (Dec. 27) around 6 p.m. A Unity man was at the residence to confront his ex-girlfriend when things escalated.
