What would a SNL 40th Anniversary Special be without Celebrity Jeopardy, one of the most popular recurring sketches of the modern SNL era. Alex Trebek was back and he brought with him some of his most frustrating contestants including Sir Sean Connery, Justin Bieber, Tony Bennett, Matthew McConaughey, Christoph Waltz, and, of course, Turd Ferguson.
I was watching and listening to all the post game fun with the New England Patriots after their Super Bowl win last night, so I missed the special Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Glad, we have video, because this is great. Enjoy an epic lip sync battle with Jimmy and Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell!
To be clear, this is not the trailer for ‘Die Hard.’ Or ‘Spy Hard.’ Or ‘Drive Hard.’ Or ‘Walk Hard’ (although that’s closer). No, this is the trailer for ‘Get Hard.’ Good, glad we cleared that up.
There’s no consensus on what the best Christmas movie of all-time is, but ‘Elf‘ would have to be up there with the best of them. Released in 2003, the film has gone on to become a bonafide classic, watched as many times over the holidays as ‘A Christmas Story’ or ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. Do you share an affinity for elf culture? Now you can test your ‘Elf’ knowledge with the latest installment of You Think You Know Movies!
The odd couple is one of the basic principles of comedy. You take two very different people, fling them into an absurd situation and (hopefully) rack up some good laughs. The ‘Get Hard’ trailer shows off one of the more inspired comedic pairings in recent memory, with the tall whiter-than-white Will Ferrell teaming up with the short black Kevin Hart. If the differences between two lead actors generated laughs on their own, then this is already the funniest movie of 2015.
A sequel to Ben Stiller’s ‘Zoolander’ has been a long time coming. The original movie, which followed the hilariously dumb misadventures of a male model named Derek Zoolander (Stiller), opened in the fall of 2001. 13 years later, work is finally starting to ramp up on the follow-up. Actor and writer Justin Theroux will direct ‘Zoolander 2’ (which should be called ‘2lander,’ for obvious reasons), and Stiller will reprise his role as Zoolander, along with Owen Wilson as his model buddy Hansel and Will Ferrell as the world’s most evil fashion designer Mugatu. Deadline says that the returning cast now has its first new addition in the form of the lovely Penelope Cruz.
We're not happy with all of NBC's renewal and cancellation decisions today, but at least one of its newest offerings for the coming season will soften the blow. NBC's "Anchorman Astronaut" period comedy 'Mission Control' with 'Breaking Bad' star Krysten Ritter has officially been given a series order under the watchful eye of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay themselves. Plus, what else has NB
'The Flintstones' is being rebooted for the cinema, though this time (back) as a cartoon, with the help of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. They'll be producing the film, which has already got a writer attached.
Although 'Anchorman 2' wasn't groundbreaking at the box office even being a more moderately budgeted comedy, it did make significantly more than its beloved 2004 predecessor. So, could there be an 'Anchorman 3' somewhere down the line? As far as co-writer and director Adam McKay is concerned ... No. Never. Ever.
Didn't get enough Ron Burgundy last month with 'Anchorman 2'? Well, Ron, Brick, Champ and Brian are coming back to theaters this month with an extended, R-rated cut that promises 763 new jokes. It's like watching an all new 'Anchorman' movie!
We figured that NBC was blowing a bit of smoke in touting both Will Ferrell and the 'Anchorman' name for its new astronaut comedy pilot 'Mission Control,' but its first major casting is pure crystal. 'Breaking Bad' and 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' star Krysten Ritter will blast off into the leading lady role, but will 'Mission Control' fall apart on the landing pad?
"Everything is Awesome!"
Much has been said about our recent cinema kowtowing to nerds. From the massive success of 'The Avengers' to the ill-fated sci-fi odes of 'Paul.' (Anyone remember 'Paul?') The nerds have won. But whither the spaz?
Take a moment to remember the spaz. The hyperactive, highly-excitable enthusiast who can barely stay in one place for longer than sixty seconds and mak
Chris Pratt is a mini-figure living in the not-so-mini world of 'The LEGO Movie,' which brings together some of your favorite LEGO characters to life on the big screen and gives them the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson and more! Warner Bros. has released a batch of nine new clips from the animated film so you can preview all the silly humor one can expect from a movie starring
Fans of Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy return in 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' might still count themselves surprised a sequel finally got of the ground, but could the same brand of humor land on TV? NBC wants to put a man on the moon with a new 'Anchorman'-style comedy about the 1962 space race, direct from Ferrell and director Adam McKay themselves!
There are a handful of extremely funny, laugh-out-loud moments in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.' One happens early – the reveal that David Koechner now runs a cut-rate fast-food joint that saves money by serving fried bats (or, as he calls it, “chicken of the cave"). Another is a retread from the first film – a battle royale of news teams from various networks, but this time even more
