Local Pool Champion, Taylor Reynolds, Heading to China for Championships [Update with Audio]
Taylor Reynolds has been playing pool since she was a little kid. It sure didn't hurt having your parents own T.J.'s Classic Billiards in Waterville. She's been winning pool competitions for years.
Last year, Taylor joined us on the Moose Morning Show, when she was set to head to South Africa to compete in the World Pool-Billiard Association World Junior 9-Ball Championships. Now, as this years Junior National Billiards winner in the 18 and under division, Taylor has earned an invitation to be on Team USA at the World Junior 9 Ball Championships in Shanghai, China
The event is from November 14th - 19th.
This will be Taylor's last chance to compete at this level and it is a huge honor. Obviously it's a huge undertaking, as well. Taylor joined us this morning on the Moose Morning Show, to talk about how you could help. All donations will go toward travel, room and meals for Taylor and her mom, Tammy Reynolds.
You can donate at Taylor's gofundme.com page! Also, money will be raised through the sale of pool cues at T.J.'s Classic Billiards in Waterville and the auctioning off of an autographed Bruins jersey (thanks Stan from the Pointe Afta in Winslow).
