The Children’s Place in Augusta is Closing

I am sad to hear this for a lot of reasons.

It is always sad when a business closes but this one has been close to my heart.

The Children's Place at the Marketplace at Augusta has been an such a friend to the community by supporting the Angel Tree program each holiday season.  Some years I was stopping by almost every day to collect donations from their store from their customers for the Salvation Army.

So to the staff at The Children's Place who helped to make that happen and the shoppers who have made those donations I say THANK YOU.

According to a Facebook post from a friend who is also the manager, as of Feb 14 and until March 23 they will have an inventory liquidation and I understand everything will be 50% off....no exclusions. The final day is due to be March 23rd  unless they sell all the merch.  All sales will be final.

The Childrne's Place does have three other locations in Maine including Bangor and Portland.
