According to New Home Source, Sanford is #1 on the list of Maine's most affordable cities and to me, it’s very simple to see why.

They have a home price-to-income ratio of 5.6 and a median income in the household of over $70,0000. They are giving a very sweet spot of value.

The location is good too, Sanford is close to the New Hampshire border and it’s a gorgeous drive to Portland, so the city gives you room to breath, from your mouth and from your wallet.

It’s the type of place where your neighbors still know your name and say hello, the community is tight-knit, and the wildlife is just a short ways away.

You can explore the beautiful hikes up Bauneg Beg Mountain to take in the views and unwind from the week.
