The ‘Nova Star’ is More Than Just a Ferry From Maine to Nova Scotia

More and more details are coming out about the new "ferry," 'Nova Star' from Portland, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. I use the term "ferry" because that’s what it is being referred to as, but really it’s more like a cruise liner.

The Nova Star is 531 feet, that's almost two football fields long! On board you'll find three restaurants, three bars, a casino, play area for kids and a conference room. The ship will have 152 cabins and will be able to take on over 1,200 passengers and 336 cars.

The Nova Star will run daily beginning this spring between May and November. The prices and departure times will be announced soon.
