Ride for a Cure’s Central Region event will return to the Topsham Fairgrounds next month, bringing together ATV riders, families and supporters for a day of riding, entertainment and fundraising for cancer support programs.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, and will include a scenic ATV ride along Maine trails, along with activities at the fairgrounds.

According to their press release, organizers say the event is designed to raise awareness for all forms of cancer while supporting Maine-based organizations that provide direct assistance to patients and their families.

Money raised through Ride for a Cure helps fund services including meals, transportation, patient resources, support programs and other forms of assistance for people going through cancer treatment.

This year’s event will also feature several activities for riders and spectators, including a new blindfolded obstacle course competition that will test riders’ communication and teamwork.

Other attractions include the returning Tilt Master and face painting, a pie smash, and a special performance by Crooked Cabin.

Organizers say the event is also intended to bring together members of Maine’s ATV community and people whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

Ride for a Cure is partnering with several local ATV organizations for the Central Region event, including Topsham Trailriders, Central Maine ATV Club and China Four Seasons Club.

The organization says the event goes beyond the ATV ride itself, with a focus on creating a sense of community for cancer survivors, patients, families and supporters.

The October event will feature what organizers describe as “lights, colors, laughter, remembrance and miles of trails” as participants come together under the message, “Conquer Cancer in All Colors.”
