Doing something nice for others out of the kindness of your own heart always goes a long way and says incredible things about your character, and that's during a normal year. With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to rage on around the world, stopping and taking time out of your day for someone else's benefit is even more amazing.

Well, two Maine teens have taken giving back to their fellow peers into their own hands. According to News Center Maine, Sean Allen and Charlie Moore are students at Greely High School in Cumberland. Over the summer while working a job together they came up with a really great idea to give back to their fellow students at school.

The nonprofit is called 'Backpacks For a Change' and it aims to provide winter gear for students who are in need. The way they are raising the money for the winter items is by selling calendars. The money they raise mostly goes back into the purchasing of clothing, and some is used to purchase gift cards for random drawings. Those drawings include the names of everyone who has purchased a calendar.

If you want to make a donation or purchase a calendar, send an email to Backpacks4aChange@gmail.com. Or, you can send a check direct to 21 Pumpkin Hollow, Cumberland, Maine 04021.
