The attorney General's Office has released dashcam video from a Sagadahoc Sheriff's vehicle that was parked near the Merrymeeting Bridge in Topsham during Monday's incident with Kourtney Sherwood.

According to WGME 13, the video was released following an open records request. WGME says in the full video officers are heard approaching Sherwood's window asking if she is okay and if she has any weapons. Officers tell her that her partner had called them and was worried for her wellbeing.

At that time, the video appears to show Sherwood sticking a gun out the window and allegedly firing a shot towards officers followed by a single shot fired back at her from police. Sherwood was taken to Maine Medical Center but later died from her injuries.

The Maine Attorney General's Office is still investigating the incident.
