A Gorgeous Maine Wildlife Refuge is Seeking Summer Volunteers
Maine is full of so many different jobs and opportunities for anyone who wants to take advantage of them. One of the coolest opportunities this state offers is the option to take a job or volunteer position working outside in Maine's natural beauty. Well, that's exactly what one place is looking for right now.
Located in Orono, Maine's Hirundo Wildlife Refuge is currently looking for volunteers to help out over the summer. According to WABI TV 5, the refuge is home to more than 2,500 acres of wetlands and wildlife.
The Hirundo Wildlife Refuge has programs for people to take part in all year long including canoeing, kayaking and hiking, among many others. They are open daily from sunrise to sunset.
The refuge is currently looking for volunteers to help maintain hiking trails and get guests setup with canoes and kayaks when they come in for a paddle. The opportunity is especially cool for anyone in Maine who is looking to add volunteer hours to their portfolio while still having a blast outside all summer long.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in this gig, just visit the Hirundo Wildlife Refuge website for all of the information you'll need.
