April 11, 2013 Last month we had ideas and thoughts about home improvements. We wanted to redo our floors in the kitchen dining room and hall way, we may still but so far on the back-burner. We wanted to create a back patio. That will wait until next year or maybe the year after.

The federal cuts that are causing some many problems are causing Spectrum Generation to create a waiting list for Meals On Wheels. Now, it has been a BIG point of with Spectrum Generation that they did NOT make senior wait for this service.

March 29, 2013 Today was all about cars. I was looking at the license plate on my wife’s car and saw that it had expired last month, February. I was surprised that I let it lapse. Okay, I knew but that was my prepared statement for cops if I got pulled over. All it took was a trip to Auburn city hall and paid $173 and I was good to go with a neon orange sticker for ’03 Saab. I have been asked this probably 10 times at different places. "Do you have an SR 22?"
March 20, 2013 Yes it’s an errand but it’s kind of an exciting one in a small way. I’m referring to the monthly trip (give or take) to the redemption center. When I was young and living on my own, taking back bottles to the redemption center meant a pack of cigarettes or maybe a six of beer or possibly even both. “Returnables” were also good for a few gallons of gas back in the day.
