Today, April 22nd is Earth Day! What does this mean to you? Are you one to go out of your way to conserve, reduce, reuse and recycle? Do you buy environmentally friendlier products, ie: CFL bulbs, re-chargeable batteries, etc?
Are you watching the NHL playoffs? If not, you’re missing some intensity. Just yesterday alone it wasn’t only about goals and checking, we had fights and nasty hits. This of course is normal but should it be? Basically I'm okay with fighting in hockey and yesterday I loved the way Boston’s Chara tried antagonize Smith from Detroit. Chara is 6’9” and you don’t mess with him or if you do you’re asking for it. I pose the question, are you okay with fighting in hockey and or in other sports?
I use to bring my shotgun to school and show the teachers during "open school" and they would commend me on such a fine piece of hardware handed down to me from my dad. That wasn't that long ago! Now, if a kid has a bright yellow toy squirt gun, as one did at Lewiston High School, they're out for ten days! I can't call administrators what I'd like to here because I'd be censored or worse.
Today all across this land, Canada and maybe other countries as well, it's 'Record Store Day'. A day we celebrate actual pressed audio and in many cases video material bought at where else but a record store.
Earlier this morning in my Facebook feed I came across some website asking if you were "man enough" to buy feminine products and that inspired this post. Let's have a little fun with this. Are there any items that you refuse to buy or are reluctant to pick up out of embarrassment?
