DirecTV customers on March 1st may lose WGME, Channel 13. It seems to be getting more and more common. Television companies and TV service providers both playing hardball with negotiation tactics that include hard deadlines, blackouts on television services, like cable, DirecTV and Dish Network.
February 18, 2013 Do you think police are out enforcing the law for safety’s sake, or for quotas and trying to create revenue? Police have been out looking for un-belted drivers and have found a few. I have asked officers in a social setting in the past about quotas and have never heard the word, “yes” in an answer. With 30 people getting pulled over on the Interstate for not wearing seat belts recently, are there no bigger crimes?
February 17, 2013 Here I am it's Sunday morning sipping coffee and waiting for my dryer to be delivered. There are still two loads of wet laundry in the basement left from Friday when the dryer died. I'm freaking about mold and mildew in jeans but I guess they're okay, I'll rewash the loads when the dryer gets here.
February 15, 2013 Birthdays, I used to love them now not so much. Years whip around faster than a merry-go-round it feels. At 11:37 Eastern time tonight, I turn 41. I'm still technically 40 and holding on to it for dear life. Statistically half way to being dead. Morbid I know, but it's true. Back in 1972 I was born in Whittier ,California a town outside of Los Angeles at 7:37 p.m. PST and weighed 5 lbs, 11 oz.

February 14, 2013 Valentine's Day is all but through. What did we do? It started bright and early this morning with the kids. We bought each of them a little something. Vikki's gift was a form or shape sorter, Dylan got a fedora that he wanted and Justin wanted and received a pair of Levis 510 super skinny jeans. And for Lynn, I bought her a two rose bouquet, card and Symphony bar her favorite type of candy bar.

February 12, 2013 Today or late tonight I should say, marks 18 years living in Maine. As I wrote a couple of weeks ago regarding the interview trip, here is the story about the move. Crazy to think I left everything I knew for something in a city and country I have really never lived in. The idea of moving to Maine back in 1995 I thought was going to be temporary, but now 18 years later, not so much. Just wanted to come down for the experience and go back to my life and everything I knew and had back in Halifax with a job.
