Business owners are increasingly establishing themselves in the capitol city of Maine, with a wave of new businesses emerging.

According to the Kennebec Valley Chamber, they represent over 700 businesses, industries, and organizations in the capital area. The Chamber plays a crucial role in helping businesses boom within it's 23-community region.

Based on the feedback from Facebook, you all called out various types of businesses, with a huge emphasis on food establishments.

While many suggestions leaned towards restaurants, some popular choices included Holy Donut and Little Caesars Pizza. Additionally, lesser-known spots like Sweet Tomatos and Moe's Southwest Grill were also mentioned.
