This is a special kid who did not get to his favorite holiday this year: Christmas.

But you can help honor Chace's love of Christmas by helping kids battling cancer. In January of 2022, Chace Michael Fromwiller from Springvale, Maine, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood cancer. On Monday, September 11, 2023, he got his angel wings surrounded by family and friends.

Chace had DIPG, an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer. In his obituary, it says:

Unwaveringly brave, he faced numerous medications, treatments, medical procedures, chemotherapy sessions and 102 rounds of radiation, all without ever yielding to despair. He faced each challenge with optimism and a positive attitude that served as an inspiration to those around him. Chace may not have had a lot of years in his life, but he definitely put a lot of life into his years.

On a Facebook post by his family on Thursday, September 8, the cancer was winning. His family decided that he would have Christmas in September! But he declined quickly, and Chace passed just three days later. But you can honor Chace and his love of Christmas. Through September 17, family and friends are asking for people to 'Decorate your Space for Chace.' His favorite color was blue, so have a blue Christmas for Chace! That was also his favorite song.

You can post a picture of your decorations to Facebook and tag the Frommie's Fight page.

That's to honor a boy who was a bright spot for anyone who was lucky enough to have him in their orbit...but there's more to do.

Chace's family is grieving and dealing with the cost of fighting an aggressive brain cancer for almost two years. Cost is not something you worry about when you are trying to save the life of your boy. If you can donate, you will not only help Chace's family, but families dealing with this devastating disease in the future. The family started a foundation to do just that.

A celebration honoring Chace's life will be held on Monday, September 18, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Barn Lights, 189 Hopper Road, Acton. Please wear blue as a tribute to Chace at this open-house, casual gathering.
