A few days ago, I took the family to see a sasquatch!  No, really!

We made the drive to Portland's International Cryptozoology Museum!

I've wanted to visit the museum after seeing it referenced numerous times on Mysteries At The Museum, but didn't think the kids could handle it.  Well, it turns out eight year old Denise REALLY wanted to go.  Since I want to do everything I can do encourage the geek in her, we made the trip.

Founded in 2003 by Loren Coleman, the International Cryptozoology Museum is focused on the history of the search for "hidden animals".  These include sasquatch / bigfoot / yeti, mermaids, the Loch Ness Monster, and even the massive snake (Wessie) that made Westbrook it's home back in 2016.

If you love the mysterious, you need to make a trip to the museum.  It's located on Thompson's Point and open Wednesday through Monday.
