Good Eatin’ in Augusta at the ‘Cross Cafe’ at Cross Office Building @ State House Complex

I was flipping through the September 2014 Dispatch Magazine and noticed an interesting review on some restaurants who have political connections.  Among the choices was 'The Cross Cafe' in the lower level Cross Office Building at the State House Complex in Augusta. The food there is great! One reviewer was very pleased, the other give it a 3 out of 5, but said they would try it again when in the area. It is not a place you might think for weekday breakfast or lunch, but try it, I think you will like it too.

I was mighty surprised by one of the opinions of 'Cloud 9' at the Senator Inn in Augusta. He was not impressed by the pizza and salad lunch buffet. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? That is the best! It is my happy place! That pizza and salad buffet is my meal of choice for birthdays, special days and just as a pick me up. Silly reviewer must not have tried the pear and gorgonzola pizza with strawberry salad, there is nothing better. Nothing!
