I've been debating whether or not I should write this post. I did share on my Instagram, without even thinking, because that's what I do. After, I thought, maybe I should take the post down. I always try and stay somewhat positive on social media, but I do freely share my life. Heck, really all I want to do is make people laugh, and this is no laughing matter.

I decided that if I could convince one person to maybe go see their doctor and get checked, than it's worth it. I'm awaiting word from my doctor on whether or not a mole is linked to skin cancer.

At my recent physical, my doctor noticed some things. I am covered with freckles and moles on my belly and chest, that he thought should get checked by a specialist. That is who I saw yesterday.

The doctor and nurse at my appointment were fabulous, but when I heard the doc say something along the lines of, "We probably should take that off and get it tested," I can tell you, it brought me back.

It turns out, even though he wants to keep a close eyes on a few of the moles on my belly, the concern was for one behind my right ear. I have always had a little mole there, but in the past year or so, I noticed that it has grown. I saw a recent profile picture and was surprised at the size. I mean, it's not like it's in a place I ever see, besides my beard mostly covers it up.

So now I wait and do a little research, just in case. The problem is I don't want to know too much, because I don't want to be paranoid. It's not unusual for moles to be tested, and I'm confident everything will be fine, I'm just not a very good "waiter."

My words of advice, is to know your body. If you notice any changes in the size or color of any moles, let your doctor know. Here are a few helpful links:
