Maeghan Maloney Wins District Attorney Race and Pizza in the Same Day!

As wonders never cease! Maeghan Maloney (District Attorney for Kennebec and Somerset Counties) and her staff won lunch from 92 Moose (Mid-Week Lunch Bunch) and Rooster's Coal Fired Pizza and Tap House, today. It just so happened to be the day after the election in which she easily won re-election to her D.A. post!

To be fair, Shay Freeman actually entered the contest and won lunch for the crew. SHE is the party hero and Maeghan in the candidate hero, if that makes any sense. No matter, they're wonderful people and great to have in the community!

I have a deep personal respect for Maeghan as she champions a cause dear to my heart and that's fight domestic violence. She even helped spearhead a program whereby certain, dangerous, offenders will wear a gps anklet telling law enforcement if they go outside their allowed parameters, like near a victim's home.

On top of that, I can attest to the fact that she is a stand-up person with great character. It's nice to be able to say that about a person in her position. She is a trustworthy person of the people and, in retrospect, I wish I'd have taken a piece of pizza that she offered me!
