Maine Vehicle Inspection: You Can’t Make Your Own You Friggin’ Ding Dong!

Check out this sticker that Livermore Falls Police Department found on a vehicle the other day. Just for the record... This IS against the law!

It might have worked a little better had the handwriting not been so blatantly terrible.. I mean look at the Maine dirigo logo!

 Check out what the person was using for the yellow face of the homemade sticker!

Just so everyone knows. Making your own State of Maine Inspection Sticker and affixing it to your vehicle is a Class E crime.

Display of Fictitious Certificate
A person commits a Class E crime if that person displays or permits to be displayed on a vehicle a certificate of inspection knowing the certificate to be fictitious or issued to another vehicle or issued without an inspection having been made.

This bad boy was removed from a vehicle on a traffic stop on Campground Road. The operator of the vehicle was also cited for Attaching False Plates and Operating After Suspension. All of which are crimes in the State of Maine.

We gave her a B+ for her artistic abilities, an A for effort, a slight chuckle for the material used to make the fake sticker with, and three criminal summons.
