Mother of the Year Award: Mom Fed Daughter Tapeworms So She Would Lose Weight

A Florida mother is under investigation after she gave her daughter tapeworms...on purpose. The daughter had been complaining of stomach pains, so the mom brought her to the ER. It was discovered that the girl's belly was full of tapeworms.

The Hospital nurses first believed the girl might be pregnant. That proved false after an ultrasound. However, they did see something moving around. After a trip to the bathroom, her real source of her pain was revealed.

According to one of her nurses:

It was so gross ... There were a couple [of tapeworms] that were very long and wiggling around trying to get out of the toilet bowl.

How did she get the tapeworms? The mother admitted to giving them to her to get skinny for a beauty pageant.
