Take the Pledge to Spread the Word to End the Word [VIDEO]

Do yourself a favor a watch this wonderful video made by Gardiner Area High School Senior, Emma Hickey. Emma's brother, Jackson, is a Freshman at Gardiner, and is the inspiration for her project. Emma will join us on the Moose Morning Show next Thursday, March 12 at 7am.

According to the 'End the Word' facebook page:

'Spread the Word to End the Word' is an ongoing effort by Special Olympics, Best Buddies International and (their) supporters to raise the consciousness of society about the dehumanizing and hurtful effects of the word “retard(ed)” and encourage people to pledge to stop using the 'R-word.'

The campaign, created by youth, is intended to engage schools organizations and communities to rally and pledge their support.
