Friday, June 3rd is National Donut Day, yes we have to work today, but there are plenty of places where you can get a free donut! Here's what are donut shops are offering on National Donut Day.

The Maine Department of Labor will be offering help to local workers impacted be the abrupt closure of the Tim Hortons in Augusta on Nov. 18.

According to the Associated Press, Burger King is buying Canadian coffee-and-doughnut chain Tim Hortons Inc. for about $11 billion, creating the world's third-largest fast-food company. According to the report, the corporate headquarters of the new company will be in Canada, a move that may help Burger King lower its taxes.

In Northern Ontario, Canada, Monday (May 19) Stephan Michel Desgroseillers rescued a newborn moose calf. He said he found it near a highway, still damp and unsteady on its' legs. He was afraid to leave it in the wild alone, so what did he do? What any true Canadian would do...take it to a Tim Hortons.

Tomorrow is "Camp Day" at Tim Horton's. Last year, Tim Horton's raised 11 million dollars to help send kids to camp who otherwise couldn't afford to go. Every time you buy a Tim Horton's coffee on June 5th, you're helping kids ages 9 through 12 go to a 10-day summer camp or week-long winter camp.

Sadly I have yet to win with Tim Horton's Roll up the Rim contest this year. If I do and turn in my "cup peeling" I hope to get this Tim Horton's employee or someone like her. She's awesome. This video will remind you that there is still really good customer service out there.

It all started when a customer at a Tim Horton's coffee shop in Winnipeg, Canada decided to spread some holiday cheer by also footing the bill for the next customer in line. But instead of putting their money away, the customer who just got free coffee chose to use the cash on the next person in line. And, suddenly, an epic "pay it forward" chain had begun.
