Tissue Time: Dad Surprises Daughter with a Walk down the Aisle

Get out the tissues. Ok. A leukemia survivor who is losing sight in one eye and uses a wheelchair has overcome another obstacle by walking his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.

Ralph Duquette and daughter Heather had agreed he didn't have the strength to walk her down the aisle at her wedding in Maine. But on Oct. 10, Ralph Duquette was helped out of his wheelchair in Old Orchard Beach and did just that! And he did it in front of 75 friends and relatives.

Duquette worked with physical therapists over the summer to gain the strength to walk Heather down the aisle.

Heather Duquette says her father performed the ceremony and gave her away. The two also danced together for their father-daughter dance.
