Who was Amy? This is from the race website:

Amy was a caring and compassionate person who dedicated her life to helping others. She spent her life studying to become a nurse and volunteering at numerous charities. One of her favorite organizations was Almost Home Rescue where Amy spent her Saturdays transporting dogs in danger to safe locations. She was also a loving foster parent who had many "foster failures" which meant she often ended up falling in love and therefore adopting her foster puppies. Amy lived each day caring for others whether it was her animals or her patients. Her heart knew no bounds. Her family, friends and community are committed to carrying on her legacy.
