The last few years have been a real roller coaster when it comes to purchasing basic products at the store.  First, in February of 2020, we had to deal with a shortage of toilet paper.  Then, there was the shortage of shelf stable foods.  Then, a shortage of formula.  Finally, after almost everything had returned to store shelves, the crazy rate of inflation caused the price of almost everything to spike.

Well, it looks like we could see another round of product shortages in 2023.  It appears these shortages were all caused by a variety of things.

In some cases, poor weather conditions have brought on a shortage.  In other cases, the issue lies not with the ingredients for the product.  Instead, the shortages (or possible shortages) are being caused by a lack of packaging for the products.

In still other cases, the shortages are caused by a reduction in production.  In this case, soft sales during the pandemic caused some industries to throttle back on production.  As a result, we are now seeing shortages.
