2018 Tanksgiving Food Drive Dates, Locations & More

It's almost time to kick off our annual Tanksgiving Food Drive!  And we need your help!  Here's all the details, you need to know, about the Tanksgiving Food Drive!

Here's where you will see us:

Wednesday, November 7th:

• Shaw's in Waterville: 10am - 4pm
• Walmart in Augusta: Noon - 6pm

Thursday, November 8th:

• Goggins IGA in Randolph: 10am - 4pm
• George's Banana Stand in Skowhegan: Noon - 5pm

Friday, November 9th:

• Shaw's in Augusta: 10am - 4pm
• Shaw's in Waterville: Noon - 6pm

Saturday, November 10th:

• Walmart in Augusta: 10am - 4pm
• Walmart in Farmington: Noon - 6pm

THIRD: Things you can donate:

• 100% Juice drinks
• Holiday foods (cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy)
• Canned fruits & vegetables
• Canned proteins (tuna/chicken/salmon)
• Canned nuts
• Pasta, pasta sauce
• Canned soups, stews, ramen
• Rice
• Oatmeal
• Olive oil
• Flour
• Peanut butter
• Beans
• Cereal
• Granola bars
• School appropriate snacks
• Baby formula
• Baby diapers & wipes
• Baby food
• Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene)
• Tylenol & Motrin
• MONEY

Things NOT to donate:

• Junk food
• soda
• Damaged/unlabeled or home-canned food
• Brownie & cake mixes (they usually require perishable items, ie: milk, eggs, that are not easily available.
• Expired food items
• opened food items
• Alcohol & tobacco products

In addition to collecting non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products, we'll be accepting monetary donations - at our daily collection locations and, thanks to the United Way, online.
