52-Year-Old Maine Man Killed in Thursday Morning Motorcycle Crash
It was a tragic end to an early-morning crash that claimed the life of a motorcycle rider in Maine.
According to WGME 13, the crash happened on Thursday morning in the city of Scarborough, Maine. Police say that the crash happened before sunrise in the area of 96 Broadturn Road.
Police say that the motorcyclist, 52-year-old, Brian Buck, crashed his motorcycle at about 5:40 this morning and sadly passed away at the scene of the crash.
Investigating officers with the Scarborough Police Department say that at this time it appears as though speed was a likely factor in the fatal crash.
During the initial investigation, a portion or Broadturn Road, between Ash Swamp and Route 1, was temporarily closed. WGME is reporting that the section of road has since reopened, though the crash remains under investigation at this time.
Scarborough Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed, or have information about the single-vehicle crash, to contact their office at 207-730-4325.
Our thoughts go out to Mr. Buck's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
This is a developing story and we will continue to keep it updated as more information becomes available to us in the coming days.
