A new Irish pub in Camden is going big for its first St. Patrick’s Day and it’s bringing international talent to the Midcoast to do it.

According to a press release, 8 Bells Pub, which opened just five months ago, has announced an all-day St. Patrick’s Day music festival on Tuesday, March 17, headlined by rising Irish band Simple Things.

The celebration will take place under a heated tent next to the pub, allowing the party to go on rain, snow, or shine. Doors open at noon, with live music scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening.

Simple Things, a folk-pop trio from County Kerry, Ireland, has been gaining attention at home and abroad for blending traditional Irish sounds with modern pop energy. The band recently topped Irish charts and will be making their first visit to Maine for the event.

Leading up to the headline performance, several local favorites will take the stage, including The Oystermen, Yesterday’s Men, and Jimmy Moreland & Friends. The lineup promises a full day of Irish folk, pub tunes, and lively country music.

In addition to live music, the event will feature Guinness and Harp on tap, along with Guinness 0.0, wine, and soft drinks. Food trucks will also be on site throughout the day. VIP ticket holders will have access to the pub’s indoor bar and snacks.

Tickets are already selling quickly, and organizers expect a sellout as visitors travel in from across Maine and New England. More information and tickets are available through the pub’s website.
