92-Year-Old Maine Man Dies After Catching Fire on His Lawn Over The Weekend
It was an absolutely tragic scene in one Maine town over the weekend. WGME 13 is reporting that an elderly Maine man has passed away following a terrible accident.
The news station reports that on Saturday morning, the Bridgton, Maine Fire Department was called to an apparent fire at 2 A Street in Bridgton. When crews arrived, they found an elderly man engulfed in flames on the lawn.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the man, however, he had sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
WGME goes on to explain that the Office of The State Fire Marshall believes the victim to be Maurice Langevin, 92, of Bridgton, who lived at the residence.
Though the investigation continues, WGME is reporting that fire officials say there is no evidence of any foul play at the scene.
This is a developing story and we will continue to keep it updated as more information becomes available.
Our thoughts go out to the family of Mr. Langevin during this incredibly difficult time.
