'A League For Lisa' Benefit Fundraiser For Athletic Scholarship

The first thing you probably noticed about this article was the picture, right? If you didn't know these two people, then understandably, the picture most likely doesn't mean that much to you. But to me, it's worth a million words and then some. This is my late Memere and her late daughter (my aunt Lisa). We lost Aunt Lisa this summer suddenly to a heart attack.

Aunt Lisa was a beacon of light, a ray of sunshine and had a heart of gold. Anyone that knew her could tell you about 'her laugh'. You could recognize her by it a mile away. With that said, my Aunt Diane and several others that were close to Aunt Lisa have created an athletic scholarship in her name. Aunt Lisa loved sports, particularly softball, and we would love for you to join in on the fun.

The event will be held Saturday, October 26th, 10 am - 8 pm, on the fields behind College Carryout on Mt Vernon Ave. There will be softball games, corn hole games, regular and disc golf hole-in-one competitions and more!
