On Monday, the state released data announcing that a new alcoholic beverage that has stolen the hearts of Mainers. Fireball Cinnamon Whisky is now the most popular brand of booze in Maine selling half a million dollars more than Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy. Nicknamed “the champagne of Maine” Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy dominated liquor sales in the state for at least the past 15 years, according to Bangor Daily News this is the first time since at least 2004 that annual sales of Allen’s have fallen below $10 million in Maine, sales for 2018 were roughly $9.2 Million.

Fireball has gained a steady reputation as the go to drink for parties, used in many songs for the country and pop genre. In 2013 it made roughly $770,000 in Maine, last year it made over 10 million. Sales for Fireball have doubled almost every year since 2011 in the United States.
