‘Benefit for April’ in Gardiner May 16 to Support Local Woman with Liver Transplant [INTERVIEW]

Thank you to April Berends for joining us on the Moose Morning Show to share her story.

April is from Gardiner. You might know her from her bubbly personality and when you stop in at Margo and Co. in Augusta, where she works. Last December, after falling ill, she was rushed to Boston. Soon thereafter, she had a liver transplant.

Obviously, with any such situation, the medical expenses are just so overwhelming. Her family, friends and the community are throwing a benefit Saturday night (May 16) at the Knights of Columbus in Gardiner.
