Augusta Police Say That Some Areas Of City Not Safe For Trick Or Treating
With almost 2,000 people in the city still without power, the Augusta Police Department is advising against trick-or-treating in certain areas of the city because those areas will be lacking in proper lighting.
In a release on the department's Facebook page, the police said one of the most impacted areas was the Mayfair neighborhood between Routes 9 and 17.
"Unfortunately many streets are still in the dark so we encourage everyone to find streets and neighborhoods that have proper lighting and homes that are illuminated to go Trick or Treating for safety purposes," said the release.
