Mark your calendar for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26, for the annual Augusta Holiday Tree Lighting Festival complete with a scavenger hunt, fireworks, and a variety of fun family activities to rev up your Holiday spirit. This will take place in downtown Augusta.

Hay Wagon Rides 12-4:30pm @ Key Plaza
Live Reindeer 1 - 4pm @ Market Square
Write a Letter to Santa 1-4:30 @ 335 Water St.
Holiday Crafts for Kids 1-5pm @ 335 Water St.
Salvation Army Band 2pm @ Market Square
Penney Memorial Choir 3pm @ Market Square
Encore Dance 3:30 @ Market Square
Dance Unlimited 4pm @ Market Square
Birdie Katz Sings 4:45pm @ Market Square
Mrs. Maine Introduces Santa 5pm @ Market Square
Holiday Tree Lighting 5:05pm @ Market Square
Fireworks 5:15pm @ Waterfront Park

In addition, there will be "Christmas at the Fort" from 1-4pm  at Old Fort Western where the South Parish Congregational Church will perform complete with 19th century Christmas attire, decorative paper cutting, letters to Santa, a reading of the Night Before Christmas, a bonfire, hot chocolate and treats!

It will be great family fun and also a wonderful chance to mingle with neighbors. Make sure you bring your cameras or phones to get pictures of the reindeer, Santa, and of course the fireworks at 5:15!
