Augusta Woman Charged In Water Street Stabbing

According to the KJ, a 19 year old Augusta woman was arrested early Thursday (October 15th) morning in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Water Street.

At around 12:10 AM on Thursday morning Cassidy R. Robichaud was arrested on a charge of elevated aggravated assault.

According to a spokesperson for the Augusta Police Department, a 35-year-old woman from Augusta suffered multiple stab wounds from an edged weapon. She was taken by ambulance to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.  Police describe her injuries as being "non life threatening".

The stabbing came from an altercation that turned physical.  Police are not sure what the relationship between the alleged attacker and the victim is.
