Autumnal Leaves: A Sign of Things to Come

Monday morning Mac Dickson was saying it felt like fall. Well, I got home from work  to find these (and a few others of their kind) on my front lawn in Augusta. (just ignore the crab grass. That is another issue for another day.)  

I feel August 5 is to soon for this, but, heck what do I know?  I do know it is still about a month and a half until fall arrives for real Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 4:44 PM EDT. Fall is lovely in Maine and New England. My only problem with fall is what comes after. I am not a big fan of winter. But I do have better winter gear, so maybe this winter will be less ‘winter-like’ to me. Maybe.
