When most of us are asked about our favorite McDonald's menu items, we immediately imagine the flavor of those items.  You're doing it right now, aren't you?  Why?  Because the taste of these burgers, fries, nuggets, etc are so iconic!

It sounds like some of these loved menu items are going to get even better in the near future.

According to an article on the WCSH 6 website, McDonald's iconic burgers are going to be getting some improvements in the near future.

Don't look for HUGE changes that will make your head spin, though.  According to a press release from the company, the changes will all be very small.  However, when all of these changes are combined, they will affect the flavor of the burgers in a big way.

Some of the changes include the addition of softer buns, a meltier cheese, caramelized onions, and minor changes to the temperature at which the beef patties are cooked.  That last change should give the burger a better sear.

These changes were tested in other countries over the last year or so.  Because of how much other places loved the changes, they have decided it was time to roll them out to us here in the United States.  The US rollout will be gradual.  The changes have already been implemented in some places.  They should be implemented at all United States locations by early 2024.

There is no word on exactly when we will see these changes take affect at our Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts locations.
