Building Housing Haunted Maine Tavern Goes Up For Sale
According to the Portland Press Herald, a Freeport building, best known as the home of a haunted tavern, has gone on the market.
The building, located on Main Street in Freeport, houses the Jameson Tavern - a business whose roots date back to 1801. Even though the establishment has seen the occasional ghostly appearance, the owners say they intend to stay in the building after it is sold.
The 8,000 square foot building is on a block loaded with well known brands and sits across the street from LL Bean's flagship store. It is currently listed at $1.3 million.
