Augusta Businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Roger Pomerleau and I were The Great Gatsby and Mini-Gatsby, respectively. The theme was the roaring twenties and all of the waiters and many of the guests were dressed in period costume. It is a night that people look forward to every year and this year's event was sold out a couple of months before it even happened...

The Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center Celebrity Waiter Dinner features many local and some national celebrities every year at the Calumet Club in Augusta.

This year, waiters included Amy Bouchard from Wicked Whoopies, Kris McCabe ("McBabe") from North Woods Law (we worked together part of the night selling NWL memorabilia for donations), Gary Crocker (he and I got to do the Charleston on stage for about a minute before we were both ready to fade to black), Gerald Brann and Kevin Ostrowski from Yellow Brick Road (Gerald raised $100 by selling a personal serenade of "Your Song" to the Red Barn's Laura Benedict- video below) and Katie Thompson from Channel 8 (who did an AMAZING rap called "News News Baby" to the tune of a Vanilla Ice song- video below).

Many more people were involved but, in writing this, I'm not going to be able to think of everyone so I'm just giving you a few quick highlights. A big thanks to Kat Perry and Donna Strickler from the S.A.C.S.C. for doing an outstanding job lining everything up for another VERY fun and successful year and to everyone who attended! There's no night better than one filled with good people!

↓ Katie Thompson wrote and performs News News Baby (GREAT sport, AWESOME job...has agreed to perform it live on 92 Moose Morning Show)

↓ Gerald Brann sings Your Song to Laure Benedict, later joined by her sister....very nice
