Central Maine Could See The First Snow Of The Season
This cold and breezy weather could lead to Augusta and Waterville seeing its first snowfall of the season. WCSH 6 is predicting a cold rain to develop Thursday night into Friday and it could be cold enough for some wet snow.
The snowfall map is showing that Augusta could see an inch of wet snow and over an inch of cold rain during the storm this week.
Here's some snow facts for Augusta. We average 71.3 inches of snow each winter (seems low to me). The largest one day snowfall was 22 inches on January 7, 1944.
