CHEESE! Sweet dream are made of cheese, who am I to diss a brie....
Cheese lovers we plans for Sunday. You are invited to visit a number of creameries in the mid-coast area during the 30th Anniversary of Maine's Open Farm Day.
The farms offer tours of creameries, samples of handcrafted cheeses varieties made using cow, water buffalo, goat and sheep. The best part they are all made right in the midcoast Maine area. There will be a chance to shop for available products.
They are calling it the Mid-coast Cheese Trail and you can check out the route right here.
The farms that are inviting you in are Copper Tail Farm, Appleton Creamery, Lakin's Gorges Cheese, Pumpkin Vine Family Farm, Springdale Farm, and Fuzzy Udder Creamery.
Maine has over 60 licensed creameries. Additional creameries, their cheeses and events may be found at the Maine Cheese Guild website.
