We are now into October and I know no one wants to talk about it, but winter weather will be here soon. Every year I think about getting snow tires for like about a minute, but I can't deal with the added cost. I have "all seasons" on my car and I always come back to saying winter is one of the seasons.

Obviously there are benefits to winter tires, do you buy them? For me there has really never been a time when I couldn’t drive my car if I had to during a snowstorm. The hardest part during a snow event is getting it out of the driveway. The cities and towns do a great job keeping the roads passable for the most part.

This is only my opinion, but wondering how many people do switch out their tires every fall and spring.

You can have studded snow tires in Maine from October 1st to April 30th.
