Original story follows...
Don't be alarmed if you get a strange (and strange sounding) text message on Thursday (9/20) afternoon. It's just a nationwide test of the "Presidential Alert System".
The text, which will be sent at 2:18 PM on Thursday, will read, “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
Several minutes after that, radio and television stations will all run a nationwide EAS test.
