According to WABI, Waldo County officials intended to test their new wireless emergency alert system at approximately 3 PM today (March 22nd).

The message should have read, "This is a test of the Waldo County Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is required."

This is just a test to make sure the system works in a real emergency.
