Former Mainer Dances on Conan O’Brien’s Late-Night Talk Show
Sunny Hitt, who just a few months ago was teaching yoga and dance on the mid-coast, now finds herself dancing away on late night TV. Two weeks ago, the 31 year-old from Morrill, danced on Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk show. She and a few others performed as backup dancers to Reggie Watts, who sang his song, 'Information.'
Hitt moved to Brooklyn in September after successfully auditioning for the 'Dance Cartel.' They're a small modern dance troupe that she became interested in during a visit to New York City last year. She told the Bangor Daily News:
I felt I still had some time left in this body, and the time to take risks is now. It’s not tomorrow. I should really go for it now...My motivation was definitely to work with this company. I think it’s a really exciting time to join them.
