It's not even winter in Maine yet and we're already talking about frigid wind chills. Ah yes, this is always the case though as we head into the 'late fall' season here in New England.

Long gone are the days of waking up and seeing the blissful colors of changing leaves still clinging to the trees for dear life. Gone are the apple picking adventures and pumpkin carving parties held with friends closest to us.

So too is the 'sweatshirt' weather that we all enjoy through the months of September, October and parts of November. Yes, those days are officially gone, but they will return again next year, It seems so far away now doesn't it? But alas, the sands will flow ever-quickly through the hour glass of time and we will be right back to crisp, cool fall days in Maine before we know it.

Now that we've had our very first snow storm of the season, if you can even call it a storm, we now look ahead to a day or two of very cold air that will be moving over much of New England. But, just how cold will those daytime wind chills be? Pretty freakin' cold.

According to an article from WGME 13, the daytime wind chills on Friday will vary across the state, but the overarching theme is that they will be COLD.

Folks in Rangeley, Maine can expect the 'feels like' temp to hover around -5 on Friday while residents in the town of Rockland will experience 'feels like' temps of 12.
